Robert Hatvani


Mr. Hatvani is a native of the Ukraine, where he began his professional piano career. Robert Hatvani won many awards in Eastern Europe as well as here in the U.S. and traveled with concerts as a soloist, in ensembles and as an accompanist.

He is a graduate of P.I. Tchaikovsky Children Music School, D. Zador University in the Ukraine, where he earned degrees in Piano Pedagogy, Artist of Ensemble and Accompanist.In Hungary, as a student of Franz Liszt Music Academy, Robert performed as a soloist with Debrecen Chamber and Philharmonic Symphony Orchestras including a live performance on Bartok National Radio. He has completed two piano performance summer schools under Emanuel Krasovsky.

Robert also composes music. Mr. Hatvani took 1st place in the 1996 and in 1997 Idaho State MTNA College Student Composition Competitions.  His successful debut as a composer occurred in May 2003 with the Boise State Symphony Orchestra performing his composition,The Overture for Flute and Orchestra, with soloist Dr. Liana Tyson and conductor Dr. Craig Purdy. He released his first inspirational piano improvisation album Clear Skies in 2011 (Available on iTunes) and is releasing his second album entitled Healing in April. Locally he performed The A Minor Piano Concerto by Grieg with the Boise State University Symphony, and Gershwin’s piano concerto in F with the Treasure Valley Symphony Orchestra.

Robert is also the director of piano studies at Treasure Valley Community College and maintains a private piano studio in Ontario and Boise. His students have won many piano competitions and have been accepted to great universities and schools like Manhattan School of Music.
